Innersection is an open source freesurfing event. Based on filmmaker Taylor Steele's "section based" style of surf filmmaking, now surfers partner with filmmakers to make their own sections.

Teams load their sections onto the Innersection website during one of four annual rounds, where members then vote to see which sections should be developed into finished pieces for an annual DVD release of the 20 best sections. There is also a $50,000 grand prize for year's single best section.
